OUR PHILOSOPHY
At K Squared College Counseling, we believe that all students deserve to be appreciated for who they truly are and what talents they can bring to the college of their choice. After spending months and even years on difficult and onerous coursework, test prep, college testing, drafting essays and enrolling in all kinds of extracurricular activities, every student is worthy of having the best college experience. That is why the college counselors at K Squared are focused on one thing, helping all students achieve the right "fit" for their academic and career goals.
The college admissions process has become so highly competitive in recent years that it has been described as an "arms race" or a "lottery" by nationally recognized experts. At K Squared we work to demystify the college selection process and get it back on track to what it was intended to do—secure higher education for the student at an institution that possesses attributes that most interest the student and family.
We offer students a new model for college selection. Instead of unilaterally focusing on the ranking of a set of schools or the "It" schools of the moment, our proprietary approach for a college search examines and maps a student's academic performance, geographic preferences, social style, financial boundaries, learning preferences, extracurricular interests and career goals. From there, we will work with the student on:
